Annual Parish Meeting of Oldland

The Annual Parish Meeting of Oldland will take place at 7pm on Tuesday 19th March at Cadbury Heath Hall.

The Annual Parish Meeting is not a Parish Council meeting. The Local Government Act states that every parish must hold Parish Meeting a year and this must be held between 1st March and 1st June.   The Agenda is a standard agenda to give reports on the business of the last 12 months. The Parish Council reports to its electorate on its activities over the last year and perhaps from any voluntary or local community group. It is also an opportunity for residents to question people and organisations on any issues relating to the parish.  As the Annual Parish Meeting is not a parish council meeting it is not conducted in the same way or governed by the same rules as a parish council meeting. Members of the public are permitted to make statements on relevant matters during the meeting and any resolutions passed do not bind the Parish Council.  Any resident of Oldland Parish is welcome to attend.  Items of business are as follows:-

1. Election of Chairman

2. Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting 2023

3. Matters Arising

4. Chairman’s Report

5. To receive the Financial Statement for the year ended 31 March 2023

6. Committee Reports

a) Community & Environment Committee

b) Planning & Highways Committee

c) Finance & Policies Committee

7. Community Group Reports

8. Parish Development Specialist’s Report

9. Other Business
