Environmental Action can take on many forms. We want to offer people the opportunity get involved in a way that suits them. Be that for example a:
- Local Action Group: tackling specific issues and making physical improvements
- Friends Group: caring for a specific area, green space or park such as Barrs Court or the new Jubilee Park
- Climate Action Forum: helping to ensure that such opportunities as above exist, helping to influence decision making and encouraging change
Oldland Parish Council along with partner organisations will do all it can to support Environmental Action in any shape or form. This will include supporting:
We would love to revive the amazing work undertaken by our former friends groups of Barrs Court Moat and Cock Road Ridge that brought much benefit to our community. In addition create new opportunities at the new Jubilee Park and other valuable green and open spaces that make Oldland Parish a great place to live.

Volunteering in Open Spaces with South Gloucestershire Council
South Gloucestershire Council support a number of community groups who help to look after green spaces that are either owned or managed by the council. They offer advice and guidance on setting up your group, as well as ongoing support for working on site.
